BIO

My Story

I graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in May 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in English and a focus in Technology and Communications. I have been teaching first grade for the past 3 years and, while I am sad to be leaving my students, I feel the need to extend my passions into other areas, such as marketing. I believe that my education, personality, and experiences will help me to be successful in the marketing field.

My teaching experience will help me to become a strong member to any marketing team because I am skilled at creating strong relationships with all types of people - a valuable asset in the marketing world. I believe that you can’t teach a child, or earn someone’s trust and business, without first creating a meaningful relationship. I was able to collaborate and communicate daily with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators alike, requiring a high level of professionalism, approachability, and mutual respect. I have a strong work ethic, dedication, passion, and excitement for every job that I do.

Furthermore, being an educator has made me confident in my ability to easily and efficiently collect, manage, and analyze large amounts of data. Using frequent and in-depth analyses of that data, I found trends over time and across groups, and used those trends to plan my next steps. Be it a student, or future client, each is different, with their own unique set of needs, thus making innovation and flexibility a must in both the education and marketing fields. I have had the opportunity to adapt to many children’s varying needs simultaneously, which has prepared me well for the fluidity and flexibility required in this field. I have been able to learn the perfect balance of work and professionalism, with fun and relatability. I have achieved measurable growth in my students’ data, while also being able to create fun and loving relationships with each of them. I make certain they know I place their needs and their success as a top priority. Future marketing clients will feel assured in trusting me to help their business not only excel, but to surpass their highest expectations.
